Must live in Dallas or PHX / be open to relocation, 25% Travel, & have PHD

The Vice President of Artificial Intelligence will have demonstrated leadership and proven experience as a developer of AI algorithms. The ideal candidate will have worked with several technologies related to machine learning and translated machine learning algorithms from hypothesis into production use.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead major strategic, cross-functional initiatives within organization
Implement and lead artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, analytics and cognitive computing initiatives
Oversee design, development and delivery of complex, AI/ML software solutions
Drive organizational change and lead Artificial Intelligence IT transformational initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment
Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budget for functional team
Required Qualifications:

PhD in Mathematics, Biology or related fields with AI/ML specialization
12+ years of progressive data science and AI/ML experience
5+ years in a technology strategy and leadership position
12 + years of experience driving technologically enabled growth, both consumer facing and internal operational excellence
Expertise in a broad range of AI/ML areas, including deep learning, computer vision, NLP, and the application of these technologies to solving clinical challenges
Direct understanding of the machine learning landscape, including experience delivering capabilities that leverage deep learning technologies
Experience with large scale data structures
Ability to think strategically about technology and how to incorporate it into AI development platforms to increase efficiencies.

Solid technical knowledge and experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
Strong business and technological acumen
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrated ability to influence teams across the company and recommend solutions based on a combination of business and technical factors
Highly skilled at translating requirements from key stakeholders into work-plans
Other:

Willingness to work overtime is required
Occasional weekends, evenings, and/or holidays may be required
