The Role

The Senior Director Automation and Artificial Intelligence will be responsible for leading and executing the company's automation and AI strategy, including the development and implementation of new automation and AI initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI within the organization and develop and execute plans to improve operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automation and AI strategies, plans, and initiatives to improve business operations and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead the identification of automation and AI opportunities across the organization, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Drive the development and implementation of new automation and AI products and services.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure automation and AI solutions align with the company's overall data architecture and technology roadmap.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of automation and AI projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the performance of existing automated solutions and processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners and customers.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the automation team, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Ensure that automation projects are executed in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, such as FDA, CLIA, and others.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing automation, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects. Two years of AI experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a regulated manufacturing environment such as laboratory operations/ medical device / pharmaceutical / IVD.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement automation and AI strategies that improve operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor direct and indirect teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of automation and AI technologies and their application in business operations.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor's degree and Master's degree are required.
