The Advanced Capabilities Department (N162) within the Integrated All-Domain Effects Division (N160) in MITRE's Air and Space Forces Center is seeking an Associate Artificial Intelligence Engineer seeking to begin their career by bringing innovative solutions to unique national challenges. The Advanced Capabilities Department focuses on developing and enabling capabilities to counter peer adversaries and enable the US to project power and operate within highly contested environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ An Associate Artificial Intelligence Engineer may be expected to contribute to the following tasks:

+ Build, deploy, implement and/or modify machine intelligence applications, including digital agents (e.g., chatbots), pattern recognition applications, (e.g., image, text, speech recognition) and classification.

+ Develop machine learning and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy.

+ Use a combination of dataflow programming or pre-trained algorithms from an existing AI framework (e.g., TensorFlow, Caffe, MXNet, Cognitive Toolkit, Torch) but may also develop own scripts and algorithms in C++, Go, Java, Python, or equivalent languages.

+ Apply deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations.

+ Work with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems and modeling environments.

+ Adapt artificial intelligence, including machine learning, to areas such as virtual/augmented reality, robotics, command and control, decision support, planning and other areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ B.S. in Computer Science or similar degree, or enrollment with pending graduation (offer may be contingent on successful completion of B.S. degree)

+ Educational experience in Python, Java, MATLAB, R, OCaml, C, SQL, Ruby, and HTML.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in Artificial Intelligence field commensurate with an undergraduate degree.

+ Demonstrated contributions to educational research projects.

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
