Responsibilities :

  • The Digital Manufacturing Sr. Manufacturing Artificial Intelligence Engineer is responsible for developing, programming and training the complex networks of algorithms that make up artificial intelligence so that they can function like a human brain in mfg process systems.
  • This role requires combined expertise in software development, programming, data science and data engineering:
  • Applies logic, probability analysis, and machine-learning concepts to problem-solving initiatives. Analyzing systems to effectively monitor and control development projects.
  • Develop Manufacturing - AI-driven technology solutions with Mfg SME's and DTS Business Partners for increased throughput & labor efficiency, specification accuracy, etc., significantly improving production speeds and profits. AI engineers are responsible for developing new applications and systems that utilize AI to improve performance and efficiency, make better decisions, cut costs and increase profits.

Expectations and Accountabilities:

Analyzing and associating AI principles into reasoning and uncertainty in any perspective environment.

Applying AI and machine learning techniques for image analysis and reconstruction.

Implementing AI and machine learning solutions to solve a variety of complex problems or scenarios.

Developing AI-driven solutions that model human behavior to accomplish complicated tasks or complete complex processes.

Creating solutions that combine artificial intelligence best practices with machine learning principles.

Evaluating and improving the performance of applications in artificial intelligence and machine learning domains.

Have a strong understanding of the asset technical architecture to efficiently identify and prioritize opportunities of application of data science.

Lead initiatives to benchmark and research new data solutions and practices internally and externally to improve the strength and performance of our Manufacturing discipline.

Manage and execute a portfolio of projects including cross-functional management, design, development, modeling, testing of proposed solutions

Scope:

The Senior Mfg. AI Engineer designs and develops scalable solutions using AI tools and machine-learning models. Performs research and testing to develop machine learning algorithms and predictive models. Being a Senior AI Engineer utilizes big data computation and storage tools to create prototypes and datasets. Sr. AI engineers are responsible for developing new applications and systems that utilize AI to improve performance and efficiency, make better decisions, cut costs and increase profits.

Competencies/ Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Manufacturing environment and in deploying data analytics solutions!
  • Very good experience/knowledge in data analytics tools (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive, and Digital Twin) and/or machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques in manufacturing environment
  • Good Manufacturing Processes Knowledge
  • Change management experience (Change Agent level)
  • Good understanding of the manufacturing digital transformation trends
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Cyber security / information security knowledge (preferred)
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (preferred)
  • Data scientist experience preferred
  • Phyton or other machine learning programming languages (preferred)
  • Knowledge of PMI Manufacturing Data Analytics Systems (SPA/PPA, OI Analytics OptimistiK, ..) (preferred)

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math or related topics
  • 5 plus years of experience working in a Machine Learning, Data Scientist or Software Engineer role
  • Ability to transform proof of concept machine learning models into scalable solutions
  • Ability to apply software development best practice into machine learning project, including unit test, DevOps integration, release management, test driven development, etc.
  • Ability to automate development process of machine learning project by leverage state of art tools and technology like container, continuous integration and delivery, orchestration tools etc.
  • Experience with TensorFlow is preferred
  • Experience in SQL, relational databases, database concepts, dimensional modeling and database design
  • Intermediate in one or more programming languages used for modeling such as Java, C++, Python, R, Scala
  • Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Degree in Data Sciences, Engineering /Computer science and/or Data Management (Master’s preferred)
  • Data management concepts (MES, ISA S95, data architecture and model, ...)
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, utilizing a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization
  • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience preferred
