We are seeking a Generative AI expert with proven experience in Large Language Models to join our centralized research team in driving key strategic initiatives for the Executive Office spanning Portfolio Management, Sales, HR, Compliance and Business Operations. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading projects and be excited at the prospect of delivering on AI-related applications in asset management that result in firmwide efficiencies and novel insights whilst partnering with some of our most senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • MSc or preferably PhD in a quantitative subject
  • 7+ years of work experience, preferably at a finance or tech company
  • Expertise in Large Language Models, GenAI, Natural language Processing and Neural Network Architectures
  • Advanced Python coding skills with experience in traditional data science packages (Numpy, Pandas)
  • Basic SQL. Knowledge of other databases a plus
  • Mid-level knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Track record of Project Management and delivering positive outcomes with a preference for prior team leadership experience
  • Interest in financial markets, macroeconomics and investment management
  • Strong results orientation and an ability to run multiple agendas concurrently
  • Proactive, well organised, high-energy self-starter who works well in a team environment
  • Ability to tackle sophisticated problems efficiently to a tight-deadline in a fast-paced professional environment

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 160,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
